Since 2004 we own this plot. Yes, it is simple – 932 squaremeters of low yield Geisenheim clone planted in 1989. The beginning of our practical work with vines and we switched immediatly from former intigrated production into organic winemaking. We stopped to spray herbicides nor added chemical fungicides or fertilizers. It was clear to produce an extraordinary but elegant Pinot Noir caused by the heavy soil made by the last ice age and the fluvial residuals of the massive rhine river. Sandy clay with a big content of stones shows after years the majestic character of Spätburgunder. That is why we sell now 2011 and 2013. Not earlier. Well aged, ready to pour.
